Steve Alexander has more than twenty years experience in development, direct marketing and fundraising analytics and has focused much of the last decade helping non-profits to build innovative, appropriate and accessible fundraising programs. Prior to launching Alexander Strategies, Mr. Alexander lead and advised on fundraising audits, managed fundraising teams, built strategic fundraising plans and budgets, executed analyses of fundraising programs, produced gala and mega events, stewarded major, foundation and corporate partnerships and helped non-profits to build and rebuild their fundraising programs.
Mr. Alexander has assisted the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, Everytown for Gun Safety, Consumer Reports, USA for UNHCR, SOS Children's Villages, Doctors Without Borders, The Victory Fund and many other groups to optimize their revenue generating programs. He specializes in advising non-profit leadership on how best to approach change management as it relates to fundraising systems and tools. He has directed and produced systems' needs assessments, vendor selection and onboarding, business rule development and conceptualized and built innovative system architectures which help organizations to maximize the value of technology, to the benefit of revenue.
Steve attempts to bring levity and humor to the often mind-numbing business of professionalizing and documenting the tedious back-end of fundraising for non-profits.
